Major Reports are documents prepared by independent engineering consultants to KeySpan and National Grid, and accepted by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as well as certain documents prepared by the NYSDEC. Among the reports you will find here are the Final Remedial Investigation Report which describes the environmental conditions found on the site and in its vicinity, the Feasibility Study which describes the alternatives that were considered in developing a Remedial Action Plan, the Remedial Action Plan itself, the Record of Decision finalizing the Remedial Action Plan and specifying the goals and objective for the remediation and the Remedial Action Work Plan (RAWP). This is a document prepared by National Grid’s Design Engineer, ENSR/AECOM, and approved by NYSDEC which presents details on how the NYSDEC approved Remedial Design will be implemented. The RAWP presents information on design topics including, Site Preparation, Excavation and Waste Management, Water Management, Site Restoration, and Environmental Monitoring.
Fact Sheets are documents that have been distributed to the neighbors of the site as major reports and milestones were reached and public meetings scheduled.
Weekly Report Archive: During the remedial construction phase, National Grid provides a weekly report on activities related to the remediation of the site. The report includes a summary of the previous week’s activities and a two week forecast of planned activities, focusing on those that may impact normal community activities. The reports are archived in chronological order.
Citizen Participation Plan is a document filed by National Grid with the NYSDEC that sets out how National Grid will meet its requirements to communicate with and receive input from the community as the project moves through its various phases. The CPP is updated as each phase is reached, or when there are significant changes in the various contact lists.
